Learning Log #5
Answer the following questions honestly using your (working) blog in ED 126.1 (EdTech laboratory). Submit your answers on or before December 16 (Friday), 2016. This is part of your final grade in ED 126 (EdTech lecture).
- Which topic do you find most significant? Why?
- Which topic do you find most difficult to understand? Why?
- How do you find the use of our website (gg.gg)? Is it useful or not? Suggest ways to improve it.
- The new paradigm of education is done by creating engaging and inspiring learning experiences. Was the semester inspiring and engaging to you as a student of ED 126? Why?
- Suggest ways on how to improve the teaching and learning process in educational technology subject (ED 126)?
1. For me, the topic that is most significant is 21st Century skills. I choose this topic because it gave me knowledge on what should be the characters, skills or attitude that a teacher must possess in able to teach students properly. I learned from this lesson that in order to become a productive type of teacher you must know how interact with your students and know their needs for them to be active in the learning process and you can't have this without possessing the 21st century skills for you might have a diverse type of class in the future.
2. The topic that for me is the most difficult is the 'unit planning, objectives and curriculum framing questions'. Honestly, I had a hard time doing this topic because I don't have any idea at first if what should be the right thing to put in my unit plan. I think it would be easier for me if I have a little knowledge in making a lesson plan because they are closely related to each other. But with the help of our ever supportive professor sir J-Roel, we made it! Thanks to him and to my father in heaven also who is the source of everything.
3. Having this website (gg.gg) is a very big help for us students because most of the important matters are already in the website, but the sad thing is we can create something on our there (maybe we can but we don't how). All I can suggest is that, it would be cool if the students can create or edit some personal things there, I mean all in one package website.
4. For me yes, this semester is inspiring and engaging because I learned a lot from this subject, from possessing the 21st century skills down to website making it was indeed a good experience and I am thankful because of this subject I now have a little idea on how to make a lesson plan which I can use in the near future.
5. The only thing that I can suggest is that the students must have first even a short background about the topic (pre-requisite skills) before making an output of the topic because it would be a hard time for them and for the teacher to have a productive type of class if the they are having a hard time making an output out of the topic given.
